Welcome to James Martin Manchester

James Martin Manchester serves up classic, seasonally changing à la carte and special menus using the finest local produce.

Its superb food earned it a hard-won place in the 2019 Harden’s Best Restaurant Guide, as well as in Manchester Confidential’s ‘Top 100 Restaurants in the North West’ and the I Love Manchester ‘Top 50 Restaurants’.

Trip Advisor Certifivate of Excellence Squarel mealAfternoon Tea Award

This destination restaurant, located in the historic Great Northern warehouse, nestles beneath vaulted brick ceilings on a mezzanine within Manchester235 Casino. Striking design marries industrial features with opulent vintage fabrics and artwork for an elegant urban feel.

Imaginative original dishes feature seasonal ingredients from some of the UK’s top meat, game, fish and cheese producers.

Combine the fabulous food with outstanding service and the sophisticated adults-only atmosphere and you have a recipe for a truly memorable meal out.

James Martin Manchester is open for dinner daily from 5pm. There is an astonishingly affordable tasting menu – with a vegetarian version of course - and a Chef’s Table for lavish seven-course private dining designed to impress.

Menus change frequently but the Cumbrian rib of beef to share, with malt-glazed wagyu ox cheek and beef ragu, is an enduring favourite. And the halibut with artichoke and ale purée always wows non-meat eaters.

The restaurant also serves the best Sunday lunch in town, and an exquisite spread for traditional afternoon tea on Saturdays.

You can offset the carbon footprint of your meal at James Martin Manchester through our Food for Thought programme, operated by the Green Earth Appeal in partnership with the United Nations.

Just 99p added to your bill buys a fruit tree for the developing world, giving something back to the planet and helping some of the poorest communities on earth.

James Martin tasting menu is “the deal of the decade.” There’s no better time to taste seasonal dishes such as a rich poached pheasant, with a confit leg ragout served with hispi cabbage.
